Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Department: Finance & Accounting
Location: Miami Lakes, FL

Job Summary/Objective:

The FP&A Manager collaborates across departments to drive growth and achieve economic objectives. This role provides senior management and executives with critical analyses and actionable insights to support major operational, financial, and strategic decisions. The FP&A Manager identifies opportunities and risks, conducts rigorous financial analyses, and recommends alternatives to senior management. This position ensures that financial strategies align with corporate goals and sets standards for budgeting, performance metrics, and reporting.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze diverse datasets and evaluation metrics; develop, update, and maintain financial models to forecast the company’s financial performance.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses to assess the company’s financial position.
  • Organize and analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present financial reports for internal stakeholders, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with management to understand and explain significant deviations or trends in financial results.
  • Implement proactive cash management strategies, including 13-week cash forecasting.
  • Evaluate departmental cost-efficiency to optimize resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain a corporate financial model detailing operations and projecting future performance.
  • Analyze and recommend effective utilization of financial resources to enhance profitability and achieve optimal growth.
  • Assist in mapping growth plans, including capital expenditures, acquisitions, and investments.
  • Prepare internal reports to support executive decision-making.
  • Contribute to decisions on capital spending, operating budgets, and long-term planning.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for future company performance.
  • Evaluate new projects and investment opportunities, including analysis of potential acquisition targets.
  • Prepare action plans for investments and formulate growth scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to streamline reporting processes and operations.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Supervises 1 or more employees.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This role operates in a professional office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently needs to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Travel:

Minimal travel is expected for this role, with variations depending on departmental requirements.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role; healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Adaptive Planning or similar tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Prior financial planning experience.
  • Understanding of general accounting processes.
  • Experience building complex financial models.
  • Familiarity with evaluating internal control processes and procedures.
  • Cash management (treasury function) experience.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
  • Research and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in budget tracking, planning, and management.
  • Experience in forecasting and analyzing data.
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial results to non-financial stakeholders.
